Patrick is the new supply vendor for some of the businesses on Mackinac Island – the only problem is that he really does not like talking to people. So when fudge shop owner Lily Anderson greets him at every delivery with a cup of coffee and a pastry, he gets respite from the world as he sits and let her do all the talking.
Lily worries that her endless chatting is too much for the reserved Patrick, but he keeps lingering over his coffee. She keeps herself from developing feelings for him, because there are several other ladies on the island with their sights set on him. As a curvy girl, she has grown used to not getting the guy.
