We had one shot to get out of the Sinister Minister’s grasp, and we took it. Hand in hand, Kansas and I fled in the middle of the night, with a promise that we’d never tell a soul about what happened at that house, and how Constantine died.
Eisley has spent the last decade looking over her shoulder while trying to forget the horrors The Minister and ‘The Family’ inflicted upon her and others. However, something continues to call to her. HHhmmm...so while reading, it kind of felt like things were dumb, but I thought "it had lots of great reviews on Amazon", so I kept reading. 1/2 way through the book, it started to really get dumb with chantings, then the garden herbs she loved so much,and the spells... I was so confused. I kept reading thinking I was missing something...then, it went to how they died, but came back to life to live for eternity! I would have gotten into this had it been a serial killing in the town (which it was), but it lost me when they were dying and coming back, like none of that was realisitc. It started off as a good storyline, but then I felt like it just got stupid. (sorry to the ones who would enjoy this, but just not my cup of tea).
