This book focused so much on marigold that made me dislike her so much, as I was not reading her thoughts I realized what a bitch she is. Don't get me started on loki, at beginning I was like yes male character that is an equal to the lead female. Then the author has to ruin that by adding marigold. Every interaction between loki and his sister perceived loki as weak and a coward, like why do you have the crown when you are useless in the grand scale of things, power wise. Then there's Tessa, I fucking hated her fangirl monolgue. If marigold decided to fight her she would basically be useless that what the author is trying to convey. Anyway I did not even bother to continue to read. If you like this author read half blood academy series first.
