With no money and no title, Giles has nothing to offer but his heart…

Felicity Sutton knows poverty firsthand, and she’s never going back. She might miss the smithy, but not the relentless desperation of no home and an empty belly. One Night to Remember, Book 5 of the Wicked Dukes Club series, was about Mr. Giles Langford, a local smithy, and known around London as "the Curricle King", and Lady Felicity Sutton, sister of His Grace Caleb Sutton, Duke of Colehaven. When the Duke of Colehaven requested Giles' presence at his carriage house, he thought it was just to check on the condition of one or more of his vehicles. Instead, he encountered a female working on the underside of a curricle. Thinking there could possibly be sabotage in the works, Giles demanded to know who she was and what she was doing. When he realized she knew what she was doing, he was floored. Then the Duke arrived and introduced her as his sister. As Giles and Felicity worked together on her brother's racing curricle, the stronger the attraction and chemistry became. After a few stolen kisses, the passion began a slow simmer. However, because of where Felicity had come from, she was terrified of ever being homeless or hungry again and didn't want to take the risk of marrying someone who didn't have enough money to protect her from that. So, she continued to look for a husband among the titled men of the ton. With their attraction and feelings for one another growing the more time they spent together, Giles wanted to prove to Felicity that there could be more between them than just the smithy. He didn't want things between them to be temporary or meaningless. There was angst, drama, and melodrama, passion and heartache, ups and downs throughout the story that kept the reader's apt attention. While it had some spots where it didn't tell quite a complete story about what was going on or why it was still a decent book...just not five-star worthy, unfortunately.
