If you had one chance to prove you weren’t just a viral overnight sensation, would you take it?

That’s the choice I’m given when my talent manager calls me with an opportunity of a lifetime: come start a band with Aiden Paltier. For some mysterious reason, world-famous Designation Outsider (only my favorite band of all-time) kicked Aiden out. Now, he’s making his own band under the same manager as me, and they need a lead singer.
I’ve always been a solo-performer. I’ve never had a real band, never toured, never sold out venues. But I want to. It’s been my dream ever since I was a child, and this opportunity is my last chance. If I don’t bring in real income from performing soon, not the kind that comes with viral videos, my parents will cut me off and I’ll be an omega out on her own.
When audition day comes, I quickly realize three things:
Aiden and the other two men auditioning for Exit Fate are alphas.
They each have years more experience in the music industry than me. And none of it includes going viral online.
I’m drawn to not only Aiden, but also Noah, a music prodigy kicked out of Juilliard, and Leo, a drummer with chronic illness trying to make up for lost time.
Forming Exit Fate with these three alphas is just the start. We’re invited to play this year’s three-month Knotty Rock Tour as a replacement band, and, well, let’s just say there’s a ton of work to do to be ready—and everything to lose if we fail, not least of all this pack-bond forming between us.
