Fifteen years ago, I kissed my straight best friend. It’s not exactly a surprise when he tells me he doesn’t share my feelings, but it still hurts. Sure, some might have called it nothing more than a teenage crush, but I think I loved him. Luckily, moving five hundred miles away for college and many years has healed my broken heart. Mostly.
