My Cocked-up Life: Jake Hornsby by Sara York

Football is a life and death matter for Jake Hornsby.

A spot on a team is Jake’s ticket out of the shitty neighborhood where he grew up, but it’s also his sister’s one shot at living. Jake loves football and he loves guys but being gay doesn’t mix with being on a team. A few bad decisions almost derail him, but he stays strong, fighting hard for one chance.

When he meets Adam, he knows he can’t act on his desire, but Adam tempts him too much. The possibility for love is there, but can Jake actually take the chance at a relationship?

Then it all comes crashing down. He and Adam are in trouble, their lives threatened. The past Jake so desperately didn’t want out is in the spotlight for all to see. It may all end in disaster if he can’t figure out how to save the day.
