Left by Shyla Colt
Deserted on his wedding day and left to raise triplets alone, Houston Maloney leaves his heart behind at the altar. Focused on his car restoration business and his three little ones, he’s made it through the terrible twos, and tougher threes with the help of Godmother extraordinaire, Liv Cole.
When his fiancée Rain ran off with Liv’s boyfriend, Anthony, the two find themselves equally betrayed. While dealing with the aftermath, they form a strong bond.
When a fire forces the feisty, independent, Liv to seek shelter in the Maloney home, the best friends begin to see what’s right in front of them. The passion flows naturally but their progression is hindered by past scars.
Can they recover from loss and heartache to try again for love?

I hate the word "sass". Authors must do better. This is a targeted word that must be retired.
Amazing. Organic love is the best kind of love. What made this truly a joy to read was how honest the characters and story are. I can't seem to read Shyla's stories fast enough.
I LOVE THIS BOOK!! I liked that Liv and Houston already knew each other and were friends. I love the way Liv loved Houston's kids as a Real Mom would and she'd do anything for them.
There was a realistic, gradual building of attraction between Houston and Liv. I can see this happening in real life. He was just the right amount of alpha that doesn't creep you out and she was the perfect blend of sass and independence. I also like that we saw both of them being vulnerable because nobody's strong all the time. Now, let's talk about the heat factor. I LOVED the attraction between these two, it was sooo SEXY! When Houston told Liv he would 'chase her ass down' if she avoided him??? My girly bits got all kinds of happy and tingly! Their heat made me shiver and shake.
All I can say is I have a new author to explore and I Love This Book!
