Lady Tamsyn and the Pixie’s Curse was about Mr. Gryffyn "Gryff" Cardew and Lady Tamsyn Hambly. Local legends and rumors said that some of the members of the Hambly family went mad, while others mentioned seeing ghosts of those who had long since passed. There were stories of gypsies, witches, pixies, smugglers, and of the very haunted Castle Keyvnor. During a visit to her family's relatives in Cornwall when Tamsyn was 15 and Gryff was 18, the two formed a tentative attachment that suffered a tremendous blow that kept them apart for 8 years. Tamsyn's family returned to Cornwall after her father inherited the title of Earl of Banfield, as well as the Castle Keyvnor in Bocka Morrow, Cornwall. Upon her return to the castle, and because of the incident that had separated the two potential lovers so long ago, a ghost of one of her relatives convinced Tuft, the head pixie, to make things right for the wrong he had caused her. He, therefore, decided to gift Tamsyn with the ability to see the truth behind the lies that men told in her presence. Believing she had been cursed, Tamsyn wasn't sure she liked what was happening to her. However, she did realize that the only person who wasn't lying to her...and never had...was Gryff. As they began to rebuild their relationship, they realized the danger that surrounded not only her family but his as well and they joined forces to defeat it. There had always been an attraction between Gryff and Tamsyn and, upon rekindling their friendship, the chemistry grew. There was a simmering passion just waiting to be unleashed. Angst and drama were also a part of the story, as well as humor, intrigue, and magic. Some might find this story a bit far-fetched, but the author did an excellent job of blending historical knowledge with legends and magic. While it was a short novella, it was well-written. The storyline had a firm foundation and the characters were fleshed out and believable.
