I beg the Kingpin for help… He demands marriage in return.

Desperate, I ask my boss—the kingpin whose office I clean every morning while he works—to save me from a rival mafia who want money or they’ll reveal all my secrets.
My boss is intimidating. Twice my age, a silver fox in a sharp black suit. But over the last year we’ve talked, the only people in the building as the sun rises, pink over the London skyline.
I’m shocked when he offers me a marriage of convenience.
A whirlwind wedding, and we promise it’s just for show. No feelings. No love. A fake.
If anyone suspects my cover will be blown…
I know this has to be as close to a real marriage as possible. If I can’t have my husband’s love, I will give him my V-card in one night together. And in exchange, I will have a sweet memory afterwards.

His baby.

Kingpin's Baby, Book 2 of the Tender Vows series, was about 44-year-old Jasper Booth, the kingpin of the Fulham Mafia, and 22-year-old Renee "Ren" Smith, a cleaner (translated as maid/housekeeper/janitor).

Ren had been working for Jasper for over a year. Both she and Jasper had fallen in love with each other, but neither of them had ever said a word about their feelings. So when a rival mafia faction chose to blackmail Ren, she did the only thing she could. She had been approached one night after work and was threatened with either being deported or killed if she did not steal a million pounds from her mafia boss. She was warned not to tell him or this other mafia would have her eliminated. However, she chose to hypothesize with him regarding her dilemma and have him tell her how to solve her problem. When he did, it was the last thing she expected from him. What he offered was marriage. When she asked him if it would be one of convenience and in-name-only, with no falling in love, he said yes. What she didn't know was that he had already done that at some point during the time they had known each other.

This was a short but sweet mafia story about two people who were the most unlikely couple, but it worked for them...and this book. The angst and drama levels were low to medium, but with enough tension and spice to keep the reader's attention.

While the story was micro-short, it had everything readers of such novellas look for. It was enough to earn a three-star rating. I would have given it a higher rating, but the grammatical errors were a detraction from the storyline and plot.
