Starting over at a new school sucks.

Starting as a sophomore, when everyone’s already found friends and formed cliques, double sucks.
But that’s what happens when your dad is gone and your mom drags you halfway across the country to live with your aunt and her family. On the plus side, your cousin is your bestie. On the minus side, she’s already graduated, which leaves you to navigate the perils of high school on your own. No biggie, right?
You take her advice, put on a brave face, and march in on your first day like you know what you’re doing.
But then you see him.
Your mistake from over the summer. Your one-time-only, surely-you-didn’t-do-that-in-real-life, beach-party-hookup daydream in the flesh.
He’s not supposed to be here. Your cousin told you that party was for college students. Not for high school boys with whispered secrets under the stars and kisses like devastation.
You never thought you’d have to see him again. That’s why you told him all your secrets that night. And now he’s walking around school like a ticking time bomb. Because he knows your secrets. Secrets that could destroy you.
So you better make some friends so you have someone on your side when he decides to spill them.
