How to Make a Hybrid by Avery Burnwell

Three alien soldiers want to make me theirs.
Humanity thinks that would be terrible for our species.
I disagree.
After I was rejected by my fellow humans, these towering, lethal, gorgeous aliens (my Givers) took me in and raised me aboard their ship, the Derecko, caring for me like I was one of their own.
Humanity was fine with that, wanting me to be cared for by anyone but them, since I dared to interact with our potential invaders (because I needed them to save my neck). But now that I’m old enough to mate, everyone suddenly thinks I’d be better off with my own kind.
HARD PASS.
No human has ever made me ache for their touch, but all I ever do is ache for my Givers. And what’s so great about being human anyway? Mating with Givers means becoming a hybrid, and having alien babies, and humans are terrified of that.
I’m not.
I’ll do whatever it takes to make myself half human, half alien, and theirs forever.
