Kyra
My aunt and I started this beauty company in her kitchen.
Now, it’s a multi-million dollar international company.
I adore it. It’s my whole life.
And some rich prick waltzes in, thinking he can buy it.
Brandon Raven.
He represents everything I hate.
The corporate establishment. Trust fund babies. Greedy corporations buying up small ethical companies and bleeding them dry.
I was expecting my aunt to put up a united front against him and everything he stands for.
But my aunt wants out. She wants to retire. She wants to sell our baby to the highest bidder.
And she’s the majority stakeholder, so I’m kind of screwed here.
But I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve.
I’m not going to cave so easily.
He can try his little hostile takeover.
And we’ll see who wins…
Brandon
I walked into She’s The Sun corporate office, expecting to buy a cosmetics company, but I saw something better that I must have.
The quirky, adorable, and feisty CEO.

Kyra Black.
I want her. I need her.
But she seems to hate me with every fibre of her being.
Well, I’m the boss now and she’s going to have to do whatever I say.
Whatever. I. Say.
One look at Kyra and this hot rich alpha in a suit will do anything to get her. Office meetings have never been more fun (or inappropriate) with Mr. Raven in charge.

Insta-love at its finest in a SAFE read with no cheating and a super sweet HEA guaranteed. Enjoy!

Hostile Takeover was about Kyra Black, the CEO of She’s The Sun makeup company, and 29-year-old Brandon Raven, the CEO of The Hammerhead Group. Arriving at work one day, Kyra learned from her Aunt Linda, the owner of the company, that she had sold the company to Brandon's conglomerate without telling her first. Uncertain as to whether or not she would still have a job as the CEO of the company she and her aunt started from scratch, Kyra was heartbroken and angry. Upon first seeing Kyra in the boardroom of his newly acquired cosmetic company, Brandon fell head over heels for her and was determined to make her his, even if she was trying to sabotage the deal. This was a quirky story that had quite a few humorous scenes. It was more rom-com than anything else, even with the small bit of angst and drama that was thrown in. There wasn't much to this story other than the fact that Brandon wanted Kyra, and he set out to have her, regardless of whether or not it was what she wanted in return. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more push/pull between the main characters, and that Kyra caved to Brandon so fast. The author missed out on a huge opportunity to capitalize on the reason Kyra should have given Brandon a harder time than she did. Even the title of the story was wrong because there was nothing hostile about this takeover. While it was a fun story, it lacked grit and content. It needed more spice as well, and it needed more conflict. It was just flat from beginning to end. I only gave this story a two-and-a-half star rating, rounded up to three stars.

This was a really nice and cute read. I loved how the FMC views that beauty should not be categorised ( like it is today) and that there is beauty in all shapes, sizes and ages. I loved it so much♥️

@ Jo Jo hmm I think your trying to be offended. I am not saying literally hate or bias of any kind is something I would condone What I said if taken at face value is that it is all right for a fictional character to not be my cup of tea and have a bias. Where I draw the line is when the person tampers with others actual safety and I as an audience am expected to root for this characters over all HEA. It would still be prejudice if she was hateful to men even if she had cause such as sexual assault but there are plenty of stories like that and I don't see you getting worked up about that. Because the character was capable of growth. When I said prejudice is human I meant it in a literal sense not that it is all right anymore that cheating, stealing, lying or rape is all very human acts and if the character had a insensitive side to women who are thin as long as it is addressed in the story and she grows a could move past it but harming others that is a whole different ball of wax she is no different in many was then a Nazi flag waving jackass sense her attack is based on a prejudice belief that the men and women that came to buy the business are cruel and dangerous to her and her employees well being so she strikes first before even hearing them out. Kind of like you did with the book and with my comment.

Ok... Prejudice from the FL is alright because it is human, but tampering with a product that goes on someone's body when you don't know how it would react to them... either the FL is a beech with capital B or it isn't well thought out. Very unlikable FL

Stopped reading when the book first starts and immediately opens with body shaming other women. Thin women are real women. Do better, Olivia.

I fuckin' hate it when writers shame women with thinner body types to prop up women with bigger body types like some sort of reverse fatphobia... like you're NOT helping either side here
