Hope Jones grew up on Lake Sutton. It was a vacation hot spot, and summertime flings were a
part of life there. In fact, her own parents had met one summer when her dad was visiting.

Those summer romances never seemed to amount to anything, though. Even Hope’s parents
eventually broke up.

Hope was trying to remind herself of that when Charlie Morgan walked through the door at her
