When Aiden makes a flying visit to his local bookstore to get a book for his niece, the last thing he expects to find is the woman of his dreams. But, as he hurries from the store, minus the purchase that was his reason for going there in the first place, the assistant spots his error and chases after him, only to fall clumsily to the ground.
Aiden couldn’t just leave Kayla lying there. She was obviously hurt and after she almost falls over a second time he knows that she probably needs proper medical attention.
And that should have been the end of it. Aiden would normally have been happy to do a good deed and then leave it at that but there was something about Kayla that had captivated him.
The next day Aiden finds himself back at the bookstore, pressing Kayla to go to dinner with him. But while he desperately wants her, she is more reticent, despite Aiden being just about everything she ever wanted in a man.
Will she give in to his charms? And if she does will it change his opinions about relationships? Because Aiden has been hurt before and he’s not in the business of letting it happen again.
