Honestly speaking, I didn't dislike the novel. But, there just wasn't anything worth reading. The plot seemed irrational and senseless to me. I mean, even for love at first sight and everything, they directly jumped to what, study dates at home? Maybe they formed a good friendship, but it isn't exactly shown in the book. And, Sophia keeps saying the town is shitty and everything, but, there's nothing to support that claim. I mean, if you want to keep repeating the same line again and again, give some good plot alongside it. And, Steve is portrayed in such a negative light for no reason at all. The author needed a scapegoat that could work as an antagonist, so she got a character named Steve in and made him the ultimate villain. He didn't even have any detailed personality traits, ... none of them actually did. And, directly or indirectly, Sophia distances herself from her best friend. It may not be highlighted, but, it is there. That is like letting one person consume you, which is not good at all, it's toxic. So, if you just want to read something that says high school, do not mind characters without any personality and are looking for a short read (It's 13 chapters.), go ahead.
