I haven’t seen my friend McKenzie in years, which is why I was shocked when I received an invitation to her wedding, and even more shocked to see she wanted me to be one of her bridesmaids. When I arrived, I found myself face to face with Grant, a specter from my past, a guy I never expected to ever see again.
I’ve been setup. And thanks to the embarrassing past we share, I want to turn tail and run. But I’m stuck here for the duration of the wedding, and forced to share a hotel room with him too. Still, there’s something about this ruggedly handsome bad boy that has me intrigued, and I can feel myself slipping. I came here to help out on a wedding, not fall in love myself.

I had mixed feelings about this story. First, the title made you think it was HER wedding that was a disaster when, in fact, it was another girl's wedding that the FMC was attending. Then, the FMCs former BFF, whom she hadn't seen in an unspecified amount of time, suddenly invited her to attend and participate in her wedding, going so far as to send the bridesmaid dress ahead of time. Because this former BFF had played a mean trick on the FMC during middle school regarding the MMC, the two girls hadn't spoken in a long time...long enough that when she arrived at the venue, the bride didn't recognize her at first. Then, after the two main characters hooked up, the FMC learned WHY they had been roomed together, it was as if the bride had, once again, played another prank on the FMC. I'm not so sure I would have forgiven either the former BFF OR the MMC let alone stayed to attend the wedding. There were just too many things wrong with this for it to have any acceptable actions from either the MMC or the former BFF. Although it was spicy enough, and it had plenty of drama and angst, it was more than a little unacceptable or believable. Too many years had passed for the FMC to have been invited to the other girl's wedding, and for THAT girl to now be close friends with the man she had used to play a mean trick on the FMC years before was more than just a tad ick-infested. Then to find out that the FMC had, indeed, been set up...AGAIN...by the former BFF was asking too much for the FMC, let alone the reader, to accept gracefully. I would have walked away and never spoken to either of them again. But then again, this was a work of fiction, so authors expect a reader to just go with the flow. Yeah, not this reader. It was cute, but it's only going to get a two-star rating from me...and that's only because the FMC didn't ruin the other girl's wedding...which I probably would have had no problem doing. I might have even relished doing so.
