Have my baby.

That was what my single dad best friend Seth said to me while I was waitressing at the diner.

His little girl wants a sibling. But Seth is a workaholic millionaire and doesn’t have time to meet someone.

Someone who won’t screw him over, like his kid’s mother.

Only problem is this someone has secretly been in love with him since high school. I’ve been hiding it forever, not wanting to risk our friendship.

Sleeping with him is my biggest fantasy. And I’ve fantasized plenty, being a virgin. Another thing he doesn’t know.

Now I have to make the biggest decision of my life.

Is having a no strings attached affair just to make a baby better than never having him at all?

Author’s note: this case of insta-love and insta-naked-time has been brewing for over a decade. Babymaking has never been so hot…or so funny…or so complicated.

Have My Baby, Book 1 of the Crescent Cove series was about Seth Hamilton, the "rich boy" and co-owner of Hamilton Realty (and twin brother of Oliver Hamilton), and Allison "Ally" Lawrence, a waitress at a local diner. Seth and Ally had been friends since tenth grade. While she had been in love with him, Seth had only ever expressed friendship, so she stayed in the friend zone in order to not lose contact with him. The prologue started three years after college when Seth got another girl pregnant, so he "did the right thing" and married her, only to end up divorced by the age of 25 and single father to a little girl. Ally continued as his friend who helped with child care whenever asked. Nearly five years later, Ally was still working with her female BFF at the local diner after her mother's death, and still living in the friend zone with her male BFF. She was floored when he approached her with the proposition to have his baby and walk away with enough money to pay for any college education she desired. At first, she said no. But Seth eventually wore her down. I won't go into much detail on this because anyone who reads the book can see where it's heading. Suffice it to say that it was a...decent story that had way too much fluff n stuff. It was a bit repetitive and it was a very (VERY) slow burn. The angst and drama were too OTT for such a short book, and I wanted to slap the back of Seth's head more than I would have expected. This guy was more than just a little on the "not so smart" side when it came to his BFF's feelings...and his own. The emotions of the story ran the gamut, and there were too many plot splits that went nowhere fast, some of which started in one direction only to do a 180 without notice and cause the reader to experience a touch of whiplash. Like when Seth's dad acted one way, and suddenly he had a different attitude a bit later in the story. As much as I liked the story, I didn't think it deserved a full five-star rating. In fact, I only gave it a three-star rating due to all of the plot changes and the fact that the MMC was such a dunderhead. I hope Book 2 (which will be about his twin and Ally's female BFF) will be better.
