Sam is one of the worse main character males I've read. He started out horrible and got even worse.
this guy was completely unlikeable--drug addict, verbally abused, then stole her jewelry and pawned it. Instead of her raising him to be a better man, he dragged her down into theft and all sorts of bad shit .
