I need to get out of here and away from this small town and away from my father. My home life is less than ideal. I don’t only want to run away from him but from who I am. I fight every day not to be my father, and I struggle to forgive myself. It’s when I meet Christian, a new student, that I finally see a ray of hope. He’s beautiful and delicate—all the things I’m not.

Darren Wilson, the star football player in high school, is just like the people who used to bully me at my old school. He scared me at first, but his persistence in getting to know me has opened my eyes to someone deep and intelligent. Darren is trying hard to be a better person. I’ll give him a chance and open my heart despite my fears.

Finding Home is a story about taking back control of your life, redemption, and finding love from an unexpected person. Most importantly, it’s about accepting and loving yourself.
