Fated to the Alien Protector by Erin Hale
Orphaned and raising my little brother on an alien planet had never been part of my life plan. Yet, here I am.
Experience has taught me not to rely on or trust anyone, especially men. So when one of the native alien warriors rushes in to “protect me” from a guy in our human settlement, my response is anger.
Soon after though, circumstances force me to move to the Tavikhi village. As I find myself spending more time around Rojtar, I begin to realize he might be the one man I can trust.
Rojtar
Since before the cold season, I have watched five of my tribe brothers find their keeshla—their fated mate—among the human females. It is something I wish for myself more than anything.
When I come across a human female being intimidated by a worthless male, instinct makes me step in to defend and protect her. A feeling—a knowing—of some kind tells me Abby is my mate.
Her distrust of people makes me act with caution though. Despite my overwhelming desire to touch her and see if she triggers my mating marks to appear, I will not. Instead, I must do all I can to earn her love.

Yeah, this female lead is weak, stupid and sadly responsible for a 12 yr old brother who she is not good for. She 'spews hatred' at the honorable guy for saving her from a man who she realized was a real threat ... a bully who has found his weak target. And then goes off to apologize to said bully for being saved from him. Hahahaha, riiiiight. Precisely what to do if you want to keep being bullied. Well, it is a primitive environment, so I can think of quite a few ways to "discourage" Mr Bully. Don't want to traumatize, so I'll leave it at that. But, her handling of brother, savior, and bully all threw me off reading this. I'd like to also point out she has quite a negative personality. Glass half full type of gal. Not my cup of tea, or even something tolerable to read. No idea at all why the alien guy has interest in her. Not interested in reading about a guy who'd like a chick that acted as she did when he saved her, then offered her sanctuary, in his village or whatever, from bully. Just letting anyone like me know not to waste their time. But, if you can get through the first ch and feel it's not a bad read, you might like it. Also, these aren't spoilers, happens in first ch. Happy Reading, ladies 😊
main character is rlly rude, unpleasant and frankly, stupid. i can forgive an unlikeable character as long as theres logic behind their actions but shes not even been successful at protecting or providing for herself or her brother so whats the point?
I love this series and glad Lewis finally got his comeuppance 😍🔥
