It’s like one of those stories we all love to read: small-town girl who thought she’d said goodbye to her hometown for good is begrudgingly getting back to her roots, running her grandma’s bookstore, and dealing with a feral raccoon, when her clingy ex reappears. Except this is my life, and the ex really doesn’t like to be told no.

In a moment of either heroism or insanity, I can’t be sure which, my high school nemesis and his two best friends decide that being my fake boyfriends is the only solution. All I have to do is put up with their alluring closeness and a few totally platonic kisses, then everything will go back to normal once my crazy ex takes the hint. But what happens when the connections become real, their touch makes me yearn for more, and the ex has one last trick up his sleeve?

So this is my story—a girl with three knights in slightly grass-stained armor. What can I say? Fake it ‘til you make it…or fall in love trying, I guess.
