I agreed to be my best friend’s surrogate.
Then I had a one night stand.
And then I realized I slept with my bestie’s OBGYN.
Who’s definitely not going to knock me up…
When I meet gorgeous Dr Grant Richards, apparently, there’s no stopping me. The handsome silver fox has my panties practically igniting with one look…
So we spend the night together.
And meet again in the examination room, with my bestie by my side, because she’s his patient.
My best friend needs me to get pregnant, because she cannot carry a baby herself.
But before the procedure can happen, I break…
Because despite my best efforts, I’m pregnant already…
And the baby? It’s Grant’s.

You already know what happens from the blurb and title, so drawing out her getting/finding out she pregnant with her ob-gyn's baby is unnecessary. Its not a mystery, despite it taking over 15 chapters of "is she or isn't she" to get to that point. The FMC is partly plot driven by her need to "respect her father" a conservative pro-life politician, who wants her to get a husband degree with a devoted Catholic. An her struggle to "do right by her family". Sorry, but the whole anti-contraceptive for only the one contraceptive that would of solved all her problems just made it stupid. Condom: yes. Birth Control: yes. spermicide: yes. Emergency contraceptive: NEVER! The writing is fine, the characters very negligent and slightly stupid, and the political aspect totally unnecessary. But read it and find out, these are just my thoughts.
