Intense from start to finish!!! gripping and full of emotion, you feel for Hannah for the tragic and heartbreaking violence she endured and the emotional shell she had become. Delta’s strong feelings dominate the story and the guilt he feels for not looking out for her. The story moves quickly and feels rushed in parts and doesn’t allow time for the romance to develop but befits the storyline. The saga around Hannah’s past and the fear she feels brings out the protectiveness of the AES team to help bring those to justice. Justice is served but needed more to get all those involved, it felt a little anti climatic at the end but nice twist to the plot as well. HEA was sweet and nice epilogue. The age gap romance was OK but it did feel a little risqué of how the two MCs met which added some angst between the two. Overall an emotionally deep story please be aware of the violence triggers which may be upsetting to some.
