It was supposed to be an ordinary day. Except it wasn’t. Larson didn’t like his routine disrupted with errands, but for Nancy Holt he would do anything. Even pick up the floral arrangement his team had ordered for her birthday. However, mother nature can be a real pain sometimes. She doesn’t care about anyone’s plans. Today was the day she decided a tornado would be fun.
Anya’s life was perfect. She owned her floral shop and the apartment above it. She’d never been happier. Until that siren started blaring and she had to drag a stranger into her storm shelter and the entire city block was leveled.
Shaken and dazed, Anya had no place to go. No one to turn to. Larson might have been a surly, reclusive man, but he wasn’t heartless. There was no way he would leave Anya to her own defenses. He had the means and the space to help her. Now all he needed was a dose of self-control.

Would it be so bad if he let her lean on him in her time of need?
