My review is a bit jumbled, I apologise in advance.
Oh Jesus. This book is absolutely terrible. Listen, I tried to give it a chance, but it was not working for me. The writing was bad, the character development was oof and it felt like a chore getting through this book. I have read bad books, but this is just... Wow. I personally do not understand the reviews and ratings that this book has gotten. If you want to read a good book about an Alpha set on having his cake (his Omega) and his fight to keep her, read Addison's Cain The Alpha's Claim Series (the 1st three or two books). This is just not it. I am sorry. The premise was slightly interesting... slightly, but no.
FURTHERMORE, the way that rape was dealt with in this novel was just a big no-no. Like what. The way the ML gets away with it because he is an Alpha is WILD!!! I personally do not even understand the views of the Mothers. Like MA'AMS!?!?!? I didn't understand why the ML was given the emotional understanding of a 2-year-old. If the FL said something that he did not like or disagreed with him he freaked out. He lacked the basic reasoning capabilities that one would assume an adult, evermore an EMPEROR, a ruler of many kingdoms and a great multitude of people would have. Anytime I had to read his dialogues or his thoughts I just cringe. I swear. I lifted my eyes to the Lord and I was like, please God, tell me I didn't just read that.
The torture... Look. I am all for mixing pleasure and sprinkling a dash of pain into the mix for a nice orgasm, but the way this ML treated the FL was absolutely terrible. My guy is literally the ex-abusive boyfriend that you report on for Domestic Abuse. BRUUUH. Mans is RIPPING his knot out of her while they are still connected and is telling her that he is doing it so she can be more truthful to him. LMAO!! I cannot. God, I cannot. Whew. I read the 1st Book because I wanted to give this series a change. I am a hopeful Heather, but nope. Just save yourself. You would have saved your time. This reads like a bad Wattpad book written by a 14-year-old who believes in throwing every traumatic and horrible thing they can at a novel because DRAMA sells. This ain't it though. This is not it.

Okay none of the books are allowing me to go to the first page. Lol
I can’t read the book anymore. I was halfway through and I randomly couldn’t turn the page no matter how many times I refreshed . Anyone else having this problem ?
