Sounds like the author did a great job w the overall story, but I peeked at ch 15(to ensure I didn't get involved in a story that I'd regret) and I didn't appreciate the author's backpeddling after her deciding to include an obvious rape scene with stuff like the FL thinking she wanted it, how he's " not so bad" to end up with and him treating her like he cares about her. It was obvious what the author was doing. And, why readers tried to ignore it due to getting into good story, i assume. And if himsaying I just need ur body right now, basically, shut up with refusing and her scratching, fighting, etc is part of their dynamic, that's entirely fcked up. Another prob great story ruined by the author. Just because she says thru her story and FL that it's OK, doesn't mean it is. She could've written it without rape.

It has a strong woman, and that was built even more through the story!! The alien is strong but has his failures...
... I don't like all of his actions, but the harsh environment and the REAL Dakkari leader is an asshole, so... not much he (the alpha male here) could do anyway. ;-;
In the end, I LOVED THE STORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Horde King Series is a must read. Definitely a hot steamy must read.
