Interesting start to the story which started off with a bang and lots of drama. I was a little frustrated at first with Tori’s meekness and the way she was mistreated and wanted her to grow a backbone and in her own way she did with more subtlety. The whole mafia mob family saga had its on cliched storyline which played along to the plot line and kept your interest. I would have liked a little more development between Tori and her sister Enza as I felt that part of the story fell a little flat even though there was enough there to keep the plot going. Tor’s macho stance and how he slowly softened for Tori was deep and full of chemistry that consumed the romance. There was enough to keep your interest but I felt Tori’s relationship with her sister was left open as you do with mafia storylines. Cute epilogue with a nice family HEA.
Glad I read it. Lots of emotions to get through. The beginning, wow, didn't see it coming.

Nothing wrong with the writing, just wasn't for me. It started fairly well, standard plot outline for this type of book, but the fmc is very meek and passive. I had hoped we'd see her develop snark and start to fight back but she didn't. I got very frustrated with her just taking everything.
