Ten Years.
I spent ten years of my life in prison for something I didn’t even do.
All because of someone’s eyewitness testimony, but that testimony was a lie.
Now that I’m released, I’m trying to get my life back together. I’ve got a house, a stable job as a tattoo artist, and my family. Things are looking up.
Until my new neighbors move in.
I instantly recognize her. How could I not? It’s hard to forget the face that ruined your life.
The problem is her son is actually a pretty cool kid, so I felt bad for him when their house got damaged by a nasty storm. Against my better judgement, I offered them my guest room while their house was being fixed.
It was supposed to be a short stay. I figured I could handle being around her. I shouldn’t want her after what she did to me, but she’s like a drug I can’t resist. If I cross the line with her, I’m not sure there’s any turning back.
