I’m happy for my best friend.
Really, I am.
Seeing her so in love is wonderful… except now I have a problem.
I refuse to go to another wedding as the token single friend.
So I come up with a simple plan—find a fake boyfriend.
Just someone to bring to the wedding, someone temporary, someone safe.

People talk too much, they stare too much, they ask too many damn questions.
My cabin in the woods suits me just fine.
Until the day I see her.
When she walks up to me and asks me out, I think I must be dreaming.
Then she explains that it would be fake, and I’m left scrambling for a way to make this fake relationship real.
