From international bestselling author Cora Reilly comes a new standalone arranged marriage mafia romance.

When Emma Mancini finds out the news of her impending arranged marriage to Samuel Mione, a future Underboss and one of the Outfit’s most sought-after bachelors, she is hopeful for their future despite their age difference. However, the never-ending gossip surrounding their union and Samuel’s cold attitude extinguish that hope.

After an unfortunate decision made in the past, guilt and bitterness are Samuel’s constant companions. He doesn’t have time for emotional nonsense, and a bond to a woman only adds another unwanted obligation.

Nevertheless, Emma isn’t someone who resigns herself to her fate. She’s overcome much greater obstacles than a cold husband determined to keep her at arm’s length. Can Emma break through Samuel’s impenetrable walls? And if she does, can she live with what she discovers?

The book was OK, but not what I expected, in comparison with her other books, which I love. This book seemed a bit rushed as well

Horrible.

Eh, supposedly Samuel was an alpha. Where is that alpha? Because it seems like even he hasn't gotten the memo 🤣 There are no jealousy scenes, no possessiveness. Those few scenes where he's supposedly being 'jealous' have just been Samuel squinting like he's pushing hard on the toilet.

It such a huge fan on Cora Reilly but this book was a letdown. Waited years for an Emma and Samuel’s story and this was not worth it. Their story was just to fast paced and nothing exciting happened. No mafia wars, no jealousy, no groveling, no nothing!

Use an add blocker and/or an antivirus on your device. It's annoying as hell without it.
