Her yoga studio is across the hall from my accounting firm. She distracts my clients with her skimpy outfits and weird music … And fine, she distracts me with her dazzling smile and astonishing flexibility. But she’s Law of Attraction, I’m Law of the Jungle. It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there, and I don’t have time for a woman who thinks you can meditate your way to success.

But when I need a date for a regional awards dinner, I check the Holidates app and there she is. Hiding my identity, I strike up a conversation with her and quickly realize she’s not the ditzy flower child I thought she was. Maybe we can be more than office-building enemies after all.
