Tobias Walcott, the Earl of Blade, has learned it is best to exercise rigid control over his passions and emotions in all that he does. Uncaring that it makes him seem cool and aloof to most in the ton, he is content with his desire to only woo agreeable and demur females. Then unforeseen circumstances see him trapped in a closet at a house party with the last woman he would ever make his countess.

Lady Olivia Sherwood is everything he should not desire in a female—unconventional, too decisive, and utterly without decorum. But passion ignites between them and they are discovered. Honor demands they wed, and while Tobias finds himself unwillingly drawn to the bewitching beauty, he must do everything not to tempt the passion that burns in him for her, lest it leads to disastrous consequences.

Did not like Tobias..he was too traditional and a male chauvinist. I felt he really didnt appreciate Livvies unconventional nature.

Warning: Before you start reading this book, be aware that it does NOT include Chapter 21 at all. It skips from the end of Chapter 20 straight to the beginning of Chapter 22...and YES, without that chapter you WILL miss a TON of information that is pertinent to the ending of the book. While epub and other free online reading sites (and yes, I checked more than epub), I purchased the book so I could read it in its entirety. The following review is written with that knowledge. Wicked in His Arms, Book 2 of the Wedded by Scandal series, was about Lady "Livvie" Olivia Sherwood, daughter of the late Baron Harcourt and stepdaughter of the Viscount Bathhurst, and Lord Tobias Walcott, the Earl of Blade. Because of the way Livvie was raised by her late father, she had been afforded more freedom than most ladies of the time. She had been allowed to run wild, learn to fish and swim, as well as the selling of the paintings she made. Also, due to the way her father had died, there was a "stain" on her reputation. A few years later, her mother remarried and she gained a stepbrother, William, and a half-sister, Ophelia. As Livvie grew, she became more independent and outspoken, making it difficult for her to find a husband. When she turned 22, her stepfather became gravely ill. Both he and her mother were so determined that Livvie needed another season in order to find a match that they had decided she would go to the viscount's cousin for "social polishing" in order to "bring her up to scratch" for the new Season, even though it was against everything she wanted. Side Note: The author had the horrible habit of including too much fluff, which entailed quite a bit of exerts from other books (whether real or imagined is anybody's guess), and it made for horrible interruptions in the story. Tobias, having been raised by a very controlling father, believed it was best to bury all emotions in regards to everything he did...including in a wife. Though he was looking for one, he believed he needed to only "woo agreeable and demur females", not one who was "unconventional, too decisive, and utterly without decorum", as he believed Livvie was, even though he found her breathtakingly beautiful. One thing for certain that could be said about Tobias...if he were a real man in today's society he would be considered a chauvinist pig who believed a woman should be kept barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen at all times. He was also a hypocrite. Like Livvie, he, too, did not completely conform to the rules of society...and he had a secret that proved it. After the ball that was held at a house party being held by his mother, they found themselves in a closet where their desire for each other caught fire...and they were discovered. Honor-bound to marry her, Tobias set things in motion to procure a special license so they could marry immediately, which they did. But then, things went bad and put them at odds almost immediately. Their marriage was tumultuous, to say the least, but it was also fiery. There was so much action in this book that it felt more like an action story than one of romance...except there was more than enough romance to please even the biggest romantic reader. The characters did have some issues, but they usually do, right? Tobias was a pain in the derriere for quite a while, but the reader could tell he was a softy too...and that he had a good reason for guarding his heart and emotions. Livvie was a sweetheart, even though she was a bit brash...but I liked that about her. She didn't let anyone run roughshod over her, and some of the antics she got up to were priceless. Yes, I didn't like Tobias at the beginning, but he grew on me. I waffled on Livvie, for though she brought much of her problems on herself, she was just...being herself and the Ton didn't like it for it went against their hoity-toity society rules. The book was very well written. It had a load of angst and drama, along with slights, hurts, pain, heartache, anger, jealousy, fear, betrayal...and enough humor to tamp some of that down. But most of all the chemistry and passion were molten lava spewing from Mount Vesuvius, and it scorched the reader with every steamy scene. This book definitely earned its five-star rating and a place with the Keeper for the Shelves collection.

The story "Wicked in His Arms" by Stacy Reid is missing chapter 21. I was reading it online, and it goes from chapter 20 to chapter 22. This causes a gap in the story. Is there any way chapter 21 can be restored?
