It was a bad idea from the beginning.
He was my brother’s best friend and the definition of unavailable.
But I didn’t care.
I had loved him for as long as I could remember.
He was worth the risk. He was worth everything.
But then he broke my heart as easily as I fell for him. He watched me fall, spiraling out of control, and as I reached for him, he wasn’t there to catch me.

So I ran.
Four years later, I never expected to see him again.
He was still my brother’s best friend, and he was more unavailable than ever.
He looked every bit the bad boy I knew he was, covered in tattoos and a crooked smile.
Guarding my heart from him was top priority because Parker James was where good girls go to die.
Unfortunately for him, I wasn’t a good girl anymore.

Loved it! I totally get that kind of love, where you have no control over how you act around one person, it's destroying

SPOILER AHEAD I hate it when women MCs who are portrayed as complete badass and confident turn into a cowering idiot infront of the male MCs. Its just disappointing. Like girl I understand that you find him irresistible and love him but please grow a backbone. And I also fail to understand why so many women were in love with Parker cause holy hell the way he cheats on 2 women in this book for Liv. That was not okay. Whatever Madeline did, it was not fair to her when Parker imagined Liv in her place when they were together. Imo that's also a form of cheating. And well he again cheated on Emily who was his wife to be just a few days before the wedding. And Emily also confessed to cheating on him during her bachelorette. What a mess. The story was fine but the MCs were not likable and the cheating could have been avoided.
