It takes two to make a scandal…

What kind of woman ventures into London’s most notorious pleasure club? An outsider like Graciela, the Duchess of Autenberry, snubbed time and time again by society because of her Spanish roots. Ela longs to take a lover for a single, wild night, and within the walls of Sodom there are gentlemen to suit every forbidden taste. If only she were not so drawn to the smoldering Lord Strickland…a dangerous man who sees beyond her mask, and could ruin her reputation with a mere whisper.

Lord Strickland never permitted himself to fantasize about the sultry, off-limits lady, but then he never expected to find Ela in a place so wicked, looking for what he’s more than too happy to give. She may not be to the ton’s taste, but she suits him perfectly. First, however, he must convince her to trust in this dangerous desire—and in the promise of forever unleashed by one wild, scandalous night.

The Scandal of It All, Book 2 of The Rogue Files series, was about Lord Colin Strickland, the Earl of Strickland, and Her Grace, Graciela, the Dowager Duchess of Autenberry, the stepmother of Marcus, the Duke of Autenberry. Graciela determined to have a one-night stand and the best place to do that without destroying her reputation was at a place called Sodom, where there were men to fulfill every forbidden desire a woman might have. Unfortunately, things did not go well and she found herself needing the assistance of Lord Colin to get her out of a bind. Once he realized who she was, Colin helped her to leave Sodom unscathed, but then, after one scorching kiss between them, he determined that, if she truly wanted a lover, then the two of them could have an affair until they both "worked it out of their system." Once Colin determined to pursue Gabriela, he started sending her gifts that weren't the least bit subtle. Unfortunately, Marcus was not pleased with the idea of his stepmother having an admirer and was planning on flushing him out and scaring him away...not realizing that said "admirer" was his best friend. After a while, things started unraveling at a very rapid pace. In order to prevent a scandal, Colin had to get a special license so they could marry in a hurry. When Gabriela's stepson, step-daughter, and daughter learned of their relationship, each had a very strong and very different reaction. Gabriela felt as though she was losing her family. When Colin's grandmother learned of the pending nuptials, she demanded for him to call off the engagement. When he declined, most vehemently, she spouted that she would have her way...one way or another. There were so many twists and turns it was mind-boggling. The drama and angst were through the roof. The chemistry and passion were hotter than a bonfire. The grief and anguish were just as high as all the other emotions too. There were quite a few surprises as well. With everything that happened in this story, the reader was never without entertainment. This book was decidedly better than the first book in the series and, therefore, has earned not only five stars but a place amongst the other Keeper for the Shelves collection.
