The climb doesn’t stop at the summit.

I’m not the typical cocky quarterback that wins every game he plays and scores with all the cheerleaders.

And a few nerdy chicks thrown in there…because I don’t discriminate.

Yeah, I’m the winningest QB in my college’s history. But there’s more to me than championships and MVPs. There’s a reason why I’m the best collegiate quarterback to ever play the game.

I had to be. It was my obsession.

My escape.

Now I’ve made it. Drafted by the newest NFL team, I have a contract worth millions. My sister and I never have to worry about anything ever again. I can relax.

Except I can’t. I have to carry a team or I’ll be benched. A leader is only as good as the pressure he can take.

But at some point, there has to be a release.

If I don’t stop the train I’m on, my wreck is going to be getting cut before I ever take my first NFL snap.

This little mouse of a crisis manager thinks she’ll divert me from catastrophe. All she has to do is manipulate the story and spin it in my favor. But she’s new at the game, too. And when she discovers my past, they’ll be nothing she can say to fix this mess.
