Rebecca Livingston has a problem: Her mother is desperate to marry her prettier, more talented, younger sister Lydia, off to the handsome Duke of Wiltshire but when Rebecca and her family arrive at the grand ducal estate it’s Rebecca who falls right into the handsome arms the duke himself. Rebecca tries to avoid the seductive duke but neither she nor he can keep their hands off each other. Her mother is furious, her sister is thrilled for her – but can it be possible that the duke wants Rebecca as much as she discovers she wants him?

Miles Beresford has a wicked reputation, but will do anything for his twin brother Justin, the Duke of Wiltshire. Even if that means assuming his identity or a week to suss out the intentions of some young marriageable chits fresh from the London season. But when Rebecca Livingston stumbles out of a coach and into his arms, he realizes that he might be in serious trouble – and that playing an imaginary duke to win her over may be slightly over his head. Does Rebecca love him or the dukedom, and can he bear to lose her if he admits he’s just the Duke’s Twin?

The Duke’s Twin was about Miss Rebecca Livingston, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Livingston, and Lord Miles Beresford, twin brother to His Grace Justin Beresford, the Duke of Wiltshire. Side Note: The author, once again, mistakenly had her characters address the Duke as Lord Wiltshire. However, Duke's are NEVER addressed as LORD anything. They are always addressed as either "His Grace" or "Your Grace". When Justin approached his brother, Miles, with a favor, Miles was just a tad amused and a touch upset. Justin, having inherited the ducal title, had also inherited their father's debts. Unknown to Miles, Justin had been struggling to pay off the late duke's gambling debts and, therefore, was seeking out an heiress to refill the family coffers. Justin had invited a family to his estate to vet out a young lady to see if she would be the duchess he needed. What he wanted Miles to do was switch places with him for a week so that he, Justin, could peruse the two sisters to see if either one would suit, although he had been planning on courting Lydia, the younger, prettier sister. Mile agreed to the switch, though he wasn't too happy about it. Rebecca, although the eldest of the two sisters, was considered by her parents to be plain and not worthy of finding a husband. They both seemed to preferred her youngest daughter and, therefore, were more eager to see her wed. This book was short but sweet. Some of it was a bit mixed up as if the author had switched the place of two chapters. While the storyline was intriguing, it also felt a bit unfinished. The ending left much to be desired and incomplete. The characters were a bit naive as well...a bit immature for their respective roles. Perhaps if a few more chapters with a bit more information had been included, then maybe it would have been worthy of a five-star rating.
