WOW. This book…10 Star rating. This is the first book I’ve read by JA Huss and will not be the last. What a remarkable writer she is. I’ve just finished this book in the series and I’m ready to begin the second after giving this review. I am an avid reader and total junkie for dark romance, with alpha males and the world that encompasses “alternative” sexual lifestyles. This book is not dark but does step in, gently, into an environment for different sexual appetites, ie, multi partners and sharing. What I did find very different here is the story. I was hooked at the very beginning. I loved the men, Smith, Bric, and Quin as well as the heroine Chella. All of them with their own personality and yet with so much in common. It’s certainly not a conventional love story and that’s what I loved about it. The four characters here all have something missing in their lives but are trying to make the best of things by avoiding being too introspective about themselves and gravitating to pleasure to dull the emptiness. I loved everything about this book and highly recommend it. Be sure to read the EOB comments. Huss has a great sense of humor.
