Miss Marianne Ashbrook is left with little choice but to knock on Viscount Worsley’s door and demand he supports her sister’s child. After all, he is the father. She has little patience for rakes or men who leave their seed all over England without a by-your-leave. And even when his lordship allows her to care for his child under his scandalous roof, she is wary of his wicked reputation.

Viscount Worsley knows the child is not his. He’s not shared a bed with a woman in months, and yet, something about Miss Ashbrook’s gumption makes him relent. Soon, the prim and proper miss is taking over the house! Despite his vow to reform his dissolute ways of the past, Worsley finds it torturous to resist her. A few kisses and one wicked night at his notorious gambling den entices Worsley into rethinking his position on love and family. Except Miss Ashbrook is not so easy to persuade and it will take all his seductive wiles and perhaps his heart, to court her into submission.

*Before you begin reading this review or even the book, please be advised that Chapters 14-19 and the Epilogue are NOT included in this publication. The review I give below is a review of the entire novel, but I finished it on a different website. Sins of Viscount Worsley, Book 8 of the Forever Yours series, was about Miss Marianne Ashbrook, the second eldest of six daughters of Vicar Ashbrook, and Lord Michael Alexander St. Ives, Viscount Worsley. When Marianne's unwed sister, Lucy, gave birth to a baby, their father was determined to send the baby to an orphanage. Lucy, quite desperate for that not to happen, informed Marianne of the father's name and begged her to take the baby to him instead. Marianne, defying her father, took the baby to Lord Worsley's home in London. When he saw the baby, he knew he was not the father, but believed the father was his brother, Thomas. After Lord Worsley accepted responsibility for the baby, Marianne left but broke down as she walked away. Unaware that the Viscount had followed her, she was then surprised when he spoke her name and asked her to return with him to his home. Once there, he offered her the position of governess to the baby, which she accepted. Side Note: There were a few grammatical and titled errors that caught notice. One was that the Viscount's title was switched with the Duke's title. Most disconcerting. This story was a bit different (not much) from the norm of such novels. It was well-written and the storyline was a pleasure to read. There was the usual angst and drama, but there was shame, heartache, misery, disappointment, fear, anger, joy, passion, and humor as well. The characters were well-developed and fleshed out. Some of them were a bit naive in the beginning, but they grew in maturity and integrity. The novel was definitely worth a five-star rating and to be added to the Keeper for the Shelves collection.
