My father’s debts led some debt collectors to throw me off a cliff.
Only to be caught by an alien prince who was out for a swim.
Think about that for a second…
I fell from the sky into the arms of my alien rescuer.
The only problem?
Jovic, my rescuer, thinks I’m his now.
That he can do whatever he wants with me.
So he has his way with me all right….by putting me to work in his palace.
My job is to be his maid. To serve him in exchange for my life.
Are you kidding me?
One look at this handsome alien prince tells me I’m not going to be his servant.
That strong and unyielding body that belies the confidence of a commander puts a fire inside of me.
That ripped physique that no human male can ever match tells me one thing.
I don’t want to be his maid.
No.
I want to be his wife.

The writing itself was good, minus certain errors and inconsistencies, but the characters (specifically the male one) came across more like 16 year olds playing as adults. Immature and juvenile level of naivety and selfishness, with a complete lack of consequences for serious and heinous acts committed by others and address flippantly (aka attempted rape and beating a child). If you want to write and adult book that addresses or features certain dark topics do not use them carelessly or sugar coat it. If you want to write about depraved acts then be willing to get down in the gutter for that level of pain, suffering, and trauma. Write it well or dont write it at all. Its not cannon foder for a C level book.

Well said. Also, I can't understand why rape, sex slaves, and breeders are used by women in their ROMANCE stories as a plot device or just for drama. Why not use more humor and positivity?! We can all use more of that in our lives. 😊 You can literally write anything you want in a story out in space with a hot alien ML!😍
