Lifelong romantic Thaddeus Middleton is on the hunt for a wife. He hopes to find a woman more attracted to him than to money. Instead, he finds himself drawn to a spitfire who isn’t interested in him at all! At least, that’s what she says when she’s not kissing him beneath the stars…

Miss Priscilla Weatherby will inherit a fortune… provided she remains unwed and scandal-free. Easy enough, until she meets a man more dangerous than haughty lords and heartless rakes. Thad is a sweet, sexy delight, whose passionate embrace will ruin everything—including her! She’ll sacrifice anything for independence. Even love…

One Night of Passion, Book 3 of the Wicked Dukes Club series, was about, Mr. Thaddeus "Thad" Middleton and Miss Priscilla Weatherby. Thad was looking for a wife and, unlike the upper echelon of the ton, he actually had a choice. He didn't have to marry, and he didn't have to marry for money or an heir. He could marry for love...and that's what he was looking for. Priscilla was about to come into some money...a lot of money. A trust had been established in her name by her father and grandfather, stating all she had to do was stay single until her 25th birthday and scandal-free. Normally, for someone considered to be a wallflower, that would be easy enough to do. Sworn to secrecy over her potential inheritance, Priscilla couldn't even tell her closest friends about it. Plus, she had to be actively attending events of the Season and not locking herself away until then. But then Thad approached her at Almack's and asked for a dance. After a short verbal exchange between the two, she walked away...but couldn't keep her eyes off him. Because of the trust, Priscilla kept giving Thad the cold shoulder, even though she really didn't want to. While Priscilla kept rejecting him, there was definitely a spark between them. She was trying to resist it, he wanted to pursue it. The more time the two spent together, the more Priscilla fretted that her heart might be changing. She didn't want to stay and be with Thad. She wanted to travel with her father and grandfather. She looked forward to the day they would return for her so she could join them on their adventures. There was only mild angst and little drama, but there was so much humor that it made the story worth reading. There were plenty of other emotions to fill the book and keep the reader's attention. This was, so far, the best book in the series. It might not be 5-star worthy, but it definitely was an improvement over the first two books.
