Sasha Lee looks like she has it all. She’s the head of her own educational software company and has a life most people would dream of. Underneath the sheen of success Sasha is hiding a broken heart after a failed relationship with a man who chipped away at her self confidence and left her feeling worthless, unwanted and alone.

Sasha’s company gets a chance to expand to the Icelandic market and she takes the trip to sign the deal. While flying to the north of the country her plane gets caught in a snow storm and is forced to land in a remote and rural part of Iceland. As the storm rages and the only road out becomes blocked by snow, she is forced to spend a couple of nights in the town.

After a chance encounter at the airport and a magical night under a shimmering display of northern lights Sasha is forced to reappraise her life and with that comes unexpected change.

Jonas had lived most of his life in the rural community of Isafjordur. When disaaster hit the town and he stepped in and saved lives he ended up leaving for good because of his guilt at not doing enough. When he meets a stranger at the airport his life takes an unexpected turn.
As Sasha and Jonas begin to fall for each other an emergency at sea could bring everything to an end before it even had a chance to bloom.
