Not bad for a short read. Second chance romances are hard because the writer has to address why the original relationship ended. Here, they were just kids and life moved on. Her still being bitter of a high school break up, ten years on, was a bit silly. He didn't drag her into the town square and humiliate her or cheat; he explained that he was going to college and they should end it because he wouldn't be around. For her to nurse anger for over a decade seems a bit much. When he returns to town, he starts pursuing her with no real idea what he wants. Why chase her if you don't even know what you want from this other person? That isn't really fair to her either.

Still it came together without either really fighting it
