The only thing about me that’s a size zero is the filter on my mouth. I’ve got a big personality, a big rack, and a big number on the scale. And I’m perfectly fine with that.

But when some random guy suggests I might not be eating alone if I’d ordered a salad instead of a hamburger I’m shocked silent, which is a feat, trust me.

That brings us to one sexy fireman named Frankie Hartigan. He’s hot. He’s funny… And he’s just apologized for being late for our “date” then glared at the fat-shaming jerk. Next thing I know, he’s sitting down and ordering himself dinner.

I have no problem telling him I don’t need a pity date…unless of course it’s to my high school reunion next week. Oops where did that last bit come from? And what do I do now that he’s said yes?!

Because this is no make-over story, and I think Frankie is using me for something. I just have to figure out what…

I don't mind books with curvey women. And actually enjoy reading them because some of the main characters are either hilarious and sarcastic or just very authentic. However I would pass on this one because every other page felt too focused on weight and appearance as if we weren't aware by the title. There were times where I felt she was a plus sized woman (maybe size 16) but then other comments mentioned in the book makes it seem like she's much bigger. 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I identified with the heroine so much in regards to people lecturing about weight and size. This book was wonderful! Love the characters, the storyline, the plot. Definitely worth reading.

🙂I like this part “Frankie had grown up with enough estrogen in his house to know that women were not delicate, mysterious creatures. They were like dudes, but curvier, and usually a helluva lot meaner when you pissed them off. This observation hadn’t been changed by his encounters with the women of Waterbury whom he wasn’t related to, either. In fact, because of the women he’d dated, he’d added the following to his all-about-women knowledge base: Don’t fuck with them. Don’t lie to them. Don’t come until they have first“ 👍👍👍👍👍

I can't get enough of the Hartigan clan. Charming strong women, hunky very sexy men, some humor and steamy sex, add up to a great read. Each book has its own twists and unlike a lot of series they aren't repetitive .Please keep them coming Avery!
