An infernal king and a wayward soul collide in this scorching paranormal romance.

Beatrice doesn’t make decisions. She’s spent her life treading water, afraid to make a mistake, until the night she ends up in hell.
King of the First Circle of Hell, Bael refuses to settle down in any way, and that includes choosing a bride at his advisors’ insistence. He’s content with a parade of paramours and putting off responsibility—until he meets Beatrice. The moment she’s brought before him—not a shade but a human in the flesh—the last thing he expects to feel is a spark. A connection.
Although she’s drawn to the handsome king, Beatrice doesn’t want to stay trapped in a dangerous place where she doesn’t belong. Instead, she puts a plan in motion that would allow her to escape, which means spending more time alone with the king. As their attraction grows, Beatrice is torn between following through with her desire to return home and preventing all hell from breaking loose.
Will they achieve their hearts’ desire or are they destined to remain in limbo for eternity?

This was a surprise hit for me. I loved it. Although, I wonder what would happen with the main character's mortality, after the "happily ever after". It doesn't address it. Still a good read though
