I’m king of the criminal underworld.
I always get what I want.
And she’s my obsession.
Cora is new to the city of sin.
Her innocent blue eyes beg for me to claim her.
But I’m not the billionaire she thinks I am.
There’s a darkness within me.
And Cora is a shining light.
She’s beautiful. A virgin.
I’m ruthless. A beast.
She found me for a reason.
She’ll be my queen.
I’ll give her everything that her heart desires.
Except for one thing.
Her freedom.
She’s mine to keep, and I’m never letting her go.

The monologues are endless! Even so, I followed the story remembering that it was written not so recently. Until the first wedding night arrived...more "extravagant" than the ones I read so far: the naked virgin, spread out, tied up, excited...and the mafia groom with one more monologue, without even a "little lick." ..very chaste in a strange revenge, reluctant to "reap" his virginal victory! Even if the author painted that scene with colors mixed with LCD, she would never convince me in such a fantasy twist! It is more believable to ride a unicorn. Anyway... That being the case, the story lost any appeal, I looked at it to find out where the protagonists were going and I rated it 3 stars, more for the work and effort of the author than for the story itself.

Good read. Didn’t realize it was part of a trio. I like a story buttoned up in one book not three. I concur with the whole “gods” usage.

My jaw dropped at that plot twist. This book really drew me in and I couldn't stop reading it. My only complaint was the overuse of the word, gods.
