Nell, Lady Needham, has earned her scandalous reputation by devoting her days to an endless barrage of wild parties in the wake of her husband’s devastating betrayal. But her appetite for distraction is no longer as voracious as it once was. She longs for a true marriage and a family, and she has finally found just the man to give her both. All she has to do is convince the Marquess of Needham to grant her the divorce she requires so she can move on.
Three years ago, Jack ruined his marriage in a moment of drunken stupidity. He gave his wife the distance she wanted and deserved in an effort to atone for his sins. But when she writes him requesting a divorce so she can marry another man, he realizes the time has come for him to return home and attempt to reclaim the woman he’s never stopped loving.
Nell has no intention of giving Jack a second chance, for the pain he caused her runs far too deep. When her handsome husband begins a war of seduction to regain her trust, she is determined to remain impervious as ever. But old temptations prove difficult to resist, and this time, Jack isn’t going to give her up without a fight. He’ll do anything to prove her heart is still his, even as his past sins threaten to consume them both.

Her Missing Marquess, Book 5 of the Wicked Husbands series, was about Lady Nell Ainsworth Needham, the Marchioness of Needham, and her estranged husband Lord John "Jack" Reginald Ainsworth Needham, the Marquess of Needham. For the first two years of their marriage, Jack and Nellie had spent the time constantly drinking, partying, and living "high on the hog". But then one night during a house party, everything went horribly wrong and their life fell apart. Having been living separated for following three years from her husband, Nell had thrown party after wicked party in the hopes of drowning her thoughts, memories, and love for Jack, whom she believed had betrayed her with the now late Lady Billingsly, who had been her friend. Believing she had found another man who could make her happy and give her what she wanted...children...she wrote to Jack, who had been traveling around the Continent and further since leaving her side, and asked him to give her a divorce so she could marry Tom, the Viscount Sidmouth. Jack, never having stopped loving Nell and had only left her side because she asked him to, rushed back to his country home where Nell resided, determined to win her back. Jack laid siege in order to win Nell back, even though she was just as determined to convince him to give her the divorce she believed she wanted, and even though the man she wanted to replace him with was staying at a local inn and fighting just as hard to win her. The drama and angst in this story were both very high, as was the tension. But the attraction and passion between Jack and Nell could not be denied as it was volcanic, ready to erupt at a moment's notice. There was a touch of humor, but still not enough to alleviate the tension. It was hard to read how much both Jack and Nell suffered and hurt, not just about what had broken them apart, but also for what was continuously separating them as Jack desperately tried to salvage their love and marriage. It felt so real, the heartache, the betrayal, and the struggle. There were so many twists and turns in this story that it was almost hard to keep up. The constant changes kept the reader wondering what would happen next. This was, by far, the best book in the series, with only one more to go.
