This was one of Alexa's faster-paced, insta-love, insta-breeding short stories. While it was hot, it had a little too much of the "too farfetched/too unrealistic" feel to the whole thing. It also sort of began by dropping the reader into what felt like an already started story, creating a lost and confused awareness. Think of entering a movie theater 15-20 minutes after the movie started and wanting them to do a rewind so you could play catch-up...that would explain the way the opening of this novella felt. It also ended a bit abruptly. It was a good idea, but it just felt incomplete as well as rushed. Other than that, it was an enjoyable, "quickie" that will get a 3.5-star rating, rounded up to four.
