This was a tad different from the usual stories by Alexa. It actually had more grit to it than most of them I've read in the past, and it even had a touch of intrigue, angst, and a villain or two...or...yeah, I won't spoil it for the next reader. Suffice it tosay, this book had more meat (not THAT kind, but yeah, that too LOL) than other similar stories she has written. It definitely kept the reader invested till the end.
