Earl of Sussex, book 1 in the Wicked Ears' Club series, was about Luke Bentley, Earl of Sussex (of course), a well-known rake who had no intention of ever marrying or stopping his wicked ways, and Lady Tabitha Riley, the wallflower daughter of the Duke of Waverly, who was adamant about not marrying a rake. Although the two had met a time or two before their parents determined they should marry, Luke never really paid attention to her. In fact, he swore they had never met, even though the Earl of Coventry had introduced them at least once. The story had all the emotions a reader should expect from such a novel: angst, anger, resentment, mistrust, worry, jealousy...and most of all love. While they were each determined to not marry the other, the chemistry and passion were both quite apparent between them. Since it was such a short story, I won't divulge too much information. Suffice it to say, it was a really good novella and definitely has a place with the other Keeper for the Shelves.
